Introduction to Darband
Before becoming part of Tehran, Darband was a village and today it is considered one of the old neighborhoods in the northern part of the capital. This area is known as one of Tehran's tourist attractions, famous among both tourists and Tehran residents. It is often recommended as the first choice for leisure and sightseeing by both foreign and domestic tourists.

If you are interested in hiking, Darband is a great place to start your journey to the central Alborz Mountains, especially to the summit of Tochal. Along the hiking trail, other attractions such as the Darband Telecabin, beautiful nature, and numerous cafes and restaurants scattered throughout the area make it one of the main recreational spots in Tehran.

Some of the old neighborhoods of Darband include Morgh Mahalleh (Mogh Mahalleh), Kalagh Por, Kenar Mahalleh, and Sarband. The Darband River runs through the middle of the area, and in 1987, a flood in this river, known as the "Tajrish Flood" or "Darband Flood," led to the destruction of the Tajrish Market.

From Darband Square, there is a path of about 250 meters that leads to a variety of shops. Here, all the shops and street vendors sell delicious and tempting foods, from fruit leather and sour snacks to cooked broad beans and beets. In general, Darband has become famous for its street foods. Everywhere you look, you'll see cafes, tea houses, and restaurants, many of which are crowded with customers.

If you're looking for a place to rest, just a 10-minute walk will take you to a green area with a natural stream and several small waterfalls. Along this water flow, there are platforms with rugs and pillows where you can enjoy tea, snacks, and even hookah. This is a beautiful and very relaxing spot, a world away from the hustle and bustle of Tehran.

Darband is also one of Tehran's top night attractions, and many people choose to visit it in the evening. All the cafes, restaurants, and shops light up, making the area even more attractive. Given its large number of visitors, Darband is equipped with amenities such as a medical center, restrooms, a prayer room, shelters, and hotels, ensuring that tourists have everything they need for a comfortable visit.
