SAEDNEWS: A 500-Year-Old Strange Creature in a Small Italian Church Is Captivating the Internet
According to Saed News’ social affairs service, citing Hamshahri, this animal was last alive 500 years ago. Since then, it has hung from the ceiling of a church in Cortatone, in Italy’s Lombardy region, as a taxidermy specimen.
No one knows exactly how this crocodile ended up in the church. However, centuries ago, animals like crocodiles and snakes were considered instruments of the devil, and chaining this large crocodile could symbolize the church’s triumph over evil.
