SAEDNEWS: In a video that has been circulated online, a Japanese man wearing a highly realistic dog costume can be seen behaving like an actual dog. He waves his paw in the air and even rolls onto his side, imitating canine movements in a lifelike manner.
According to Saed News, citing Fararu, a Japanese man spent around $16,000 to commission a highly realistic dog costume for himself. He has had a lifelong dream of becoming a dog, and with this advanced suit, he says he has finally been able to experience it.
A video of him performing dog-like movements while wearing the suit has gone viral, receiving millions of views. He worked with a company that typically produces costumes for television to create the realistic canine outfit. He now uses the suit to create videos on YouTube.
The man said: “I wanted to become an animal. I became a collie — a Scottish sheepdog.”
The company Zepet, which specializes in fur costumes, released details about the project on its website. It is known for creating models and sculptures for film and television production.

The company stated that, at the request of a client, it created a dog suit modeled after a collie. The costume was designed to replicate the appearance of a real four-legged dog as realistically as possible. According to the company, the production process took 40 days.
In an interview with Japanese media outlet MyNavi, the man (known as Toco) explained that he chose the collie breed because its long fur helps conceal human features.
He said: “When I wear it, it looks real. My favorite animals are four-legged animals, especially cute ones, so I chose a collie, my favorite breed.”

A representative from the costume-making company told MyNavi that the skeletal structure of a dog is significantly different from that of a human, which made it challenging for designers to engineer a suit that would realistically replicate a dog’s appearance and movement.
