SAEDNEWS: In a carefully calibrated address, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei lauded Tehran’s military response as having “crushed” the Zionist regime, framing the ceasefire as Israel’s admission of strategic collapse.
According to Saed News, citing Fars, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered his third message following Israel’s recent assault, employing language that combined revolutionary fervour with diplomatic precision. “I congratulate the great Iranian nation,” he began, before asserting that “despite all their bravado, the Zionist regime has been brought to its knees—broken and crushed—under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”
Khamenei’s choice of verbs—“crushed” (له شد) and “brought to its knees” (از پا درآمد)—was far from rhetorical flourish. Rather, it was a deliberate signal to both domestic and international audiences that Iran interprets the ceasefire not as a compromise, but as a vindication of its deterrence doctrine. By characterising Israel’s exit from active hostilities as involuntary capitulation, the Supreme Leader seeks to solidify Tehran’s narrative of resistance triumphing over aggression.
Analysts note that the address also served to shore up internal cohesion: at a moment when national morale and revolutionary legitimacy are paramount, such triumphalist rhetoric reinforces the regime’s claim to strategic competence. Moreover, by publicly declaring Israel’s strategic defeat, Khamenei aims to recalibrate regional power perceptions, warning adversaries that Iran’s capabilities remain undiminished.
While the full text of the speech has yet to be published, the remarks plainly articulate Tehran’s view that the recent conflict has inflicted both material and psychological wounds on Israel. In this light, the televised message is less a celebration of peace than a proclamation of sustained advantage—one whose resonance may extend far beyond the immediate ceasefire.
