SAEDNEWS: A python tried to mysteriously eat its owner.
According to the society section of Saed News, Cassandra, a 30-year-old woman from Bar Harbor, Maine, chose a rather unusual pet: a python she named Reggie.
Cassandra always kept Reggie in a well-equipped vivarium with a heat lamp—a standard method for keeping pet reptiles. Over time, however, she began spending more hours with Reggie and even allowed him to roam outside the vivarium at night.
Weeks later, Cassandra noticed a disturbing change in Reggie’s behavior. The python no longer showed interest in the food she offered, whether fresh chicken or even his favorite rabbit.
One morning, Reggie’s behavior became even more concerning. He stayed on the bed all day, refusing to eat. The pet appeared unusually agitated and nervous, particularly when Cassandra tried to return him to his vivarium, meeting strong resistance. Cassandra began to wonder: could her seemingly harmless pet be sick?
At the veterinarian’s office, she was confronted with a terrifying truth. The vet told Cassandra that Reggie’s refusal to eat was because he was preparing to swallow a large prey—and that prey was none other than Cassandra herself.
