Brewed saffron: 1 tablespoon

Black pepper: 1 teaspoon

Wash and grate the carrot using the coarse side of a grater.
Finely dice the onion into small pieces.
Pour some oil into a pan and add the butter. Heat gently until the butter melts.
Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté until it becomes soft and slightly golden.
Add half a teaspoon of salt while sautéing the onion to help it caramelize and develop a richer color.
Before the onions become fully fried, add the grated carrots and continue cooking until they become tender.
Add one-quarter teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of pomegranate paste to the carrots. Mix well, making sure the pomegranate flavor does not overpower the dish.
Stir in one teaspoon of black pepper to enhance the flavor.
Add one tablespoon of brewed saffron to give the dish its authentic Iranian aroma and taste.
