SAEDNEWS: Bulgarian Prime Minister acknowledged Iran’s recent warning and emphasized that his government is closely monitoring the situation. In his response, he stressed the importance of diplomacy, regional stability, and efforts to prevent further escalation.
According to Saednews, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said that Bulgaria does not expect its bilateral relations with Iran to deteriorate following Iran’s concerns and warnings about the presence of U.S. military equipment in the country.
Radev stated that Iran fully understands the American aircraft scheduled to be stationed at Bulgaria’s Bezmer Air Base are not intended for combat operations.
Referring to the long-standing relationship between the two countries, the Bulgarian prime minister said Bulgaria takes Iran’s recent statements seriously because the two nations have maintained a history of cooperation, mutual trust, and friendly relations.
He emphasized that Bulgaria does not believe the issue will negatively affect diplomatic ties between Sofia and Tehran.
