SAEDNEWS: Israel Says Trump to Decide on Iran Within Days Amid Rising Regional Tensions During Tehran–Washington Ceasefire Period

Trump’s Critical Decision Is Near; Israel on Full Alert

According to the political service of SaedNews Agency, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that security assessments in Israel indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump may decide within the coming days on how to deal with Iran. This comes while, despite a ceasefire between Tehran and Washington in recent weeks, Tel Aviv has attempted to push the regional atmosphere toward escalation.

According to the Israeli network, following Tel Aviv’s evaluation of Trump’s upcoming decision regarding Iran, the Israeli military has been placed on high alert. In addition, Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, has maintained close and daily contact with Brad Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

Israeli officials had previously acknowledged that Trump is not inclined to start a full-scale war with Iran, and their efforts to persuade him toward military action have reportedly failed. However, Israeli officials continue to exert all their efforts to prevent de-escalation between Tehran and Washington.

The report from Channel 12 also states that Israeli leaders have made public statements aimed at reassuring residents in the occupied Palestinian territories, claiming that in the event of any U.S. military action, Tel Aviv would be informed in advance and would have sufficient time to respond.

According to the report, internal Israeli assessments emphasize that if the United States takes action against Iran, one of Tehran’s potential responses could target the occupied Palestinian territories. This has led to an increased state of alert within the Israeli military.

Channel 12 also reported that Trump, under international pressure—including pressure from China to avoid entering a new campaign against Iran—appears more inclined toward negotiations. However, Israeli officials believe he could still make a different decision in the near future.

Israeli sources stress that any agreement that does not address Iran’s nuclear program and missile infrastructure is considered by Tel Aviv to be against its interests.
