SAEDNEWS: Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić Announces Resignation for September 27
According to Saednews, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that he will step down from office on September 27, according to TASS, citing an interview with Pink TV.
On September 9, Vucic approved the dissolution of Serbia’s National Assembly, the country’s unicameral parliament, and called a snap parliamentary election for October 25.
Vucic had previously said he planned to resign in late September and campaign in the parliamentary election as a private citizen.
Earlier, Serbian Progressive Party leader Milos Vucevic said Vucic would lead the party’s electoral list and serve as its candidate for prime minister.
