SAEDNEWS: An Iranian official told Reuters that Tehran has changed its policy from a defensive posture to a fully offensive approach. The official said Iran has given the US several weeks to implement an understanding and warned of possible escalation if diplomacy fails.

An Iranian senior official told Reuters that Iran has decided to move away from a defensive strategy and adopt a fully offensive policy.
The official said Tehran has set a period of several weeks for the United States to fully implement the understanding. He added that if diplomatic efforts fail, all Iranian institutions will be prepared to increase tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the region.
According to the official, Iran’s designated timeframe will be delivered to the US and regional countries through mediators. He also stated that Tehran does not intend to tolerate what it described as a US maritime blockade indefinitely.
