Saed News: Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for the destruction of the southern suburbs of Beirut.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing Russia Today, the Zionist website “Mekom” reported that Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, during a visit to the Shluhot kibbutz on the northern border with Lebanon, made provocative remarks saying that the southern suburbs of Lebanon must be crushed.
He claimed that the Israeli army is doing a “good job” and has killed 600 Hezbollah members in recent weeks, but that it is not enough.
Ben-Gvir continued: what really matters is the southern suburbs of Beirut, and we must crush it and destroy it again. Hezbollah is in the southern suburbs of Beirut, so we must crush Hezbollah there. That is our message.
He also directly addressed Netanyahu, saying: “I say this here and to Netanyahu: it is time to crush the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
Referring to possible US restrictions on Israeli military operations, the Israeli Minister of National Security added: “We respect Trump and must appreciate his contribution, but our red line is harming soldiers and civilians, and the southern suburbs must be crushed.”
These remarks can be interpreted as Ben-Gvir’s anger over heavy Israeli military casualties in precise Hezbollah operations.
In the same context, it was also reported hours earlier that following two separate security incidents involving Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, one Israeli soldier was killed and five others were injured.
