Saed News: The head of the Geological Survey of Tajikistan announced that 10 new gold mines have been discovered in the territory of the republic.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing IRNA, the head of the Geological Department of the Government of Tajikistan stated during a press conference on Wednesday that, in addition to these 10 new mines, areas containing high-quality gold have also been found, and people can obtain licenses for them.
He said the new gold mines are located in the central part of Tajikistan, and after proper investigations, their resources will be precisely determined.
He added that 13 alluvial gold sites with a total length of 52.5 kilometers have also been identified in the Muminabad and Shamsiddin Shohin regions. He noted that these sites have been submitted to the Ministry of Finance for licensing for manual mining, allowing people to extract gold.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry of Tajikistan had also announced that the country has rich gold reserves. There are 137 mines with estimated industrial gold reserves and 127 mines with non-industrial gold reserves in the republic.
The main company for gold extraction and production in Tajikistan is the Tajikistan–China joint venture “Zarafshan,” which accounts for about 70% of the total production of this precious metal.
Overall, more than 10 companies in Tajikistan are engaged in the production of precious metals, including gold mining.
Last year, the Chinese company TVEA began work on two gold mines in the Ayni district of the Sughd region of Tajikistan.
