One of Gorgan’s most famous attractions is Naharkhoran Forest, a 40-million-year-old relic of the ancient Hyrcanian forests. Just a short distance from the city, this stunning forest is a popular destination for picnics, camping, and hiking.
Located south of Gorgan, Naharkhoran spans 300 hectares and features a forest park, waterfalls, and recreational facilities like restaurants, resorts, markets, and even an amusement park for kids. A recently constructed 15-meter artificial waterfall adds to its charm.
