Jimmy Kimmel made a hurried exit Wednesday night — ducking into a parked Chevy Silverado after ABC announced his suspension over a controversial monologue about Charlie Kirk’s killing. Cap pulled low and flannel-clad, slipping into the vehicle as staffers scrambled, following backlash from affiliates and conservative figures.
Jimmy Kimmel was filmed making a hasty exit Wednesday night after ABC announced his suspension over comments about the killing of Charlie Kirk. TMZ captured the late-night host — wearing a flannel shirt, jeans, sneakers and a baseball cap — hurrying into the backseat of a Chevy Silverado inside a garage, helped along by a handler.
Sources say Kimmel was in his studio when the network’s decision was announced; he slipped into the garage and left the premises soon after. His sidekick Guillermo was also onsite and was seen speaking with staff following the announcement.
ABC moved to suspend Kimmel after his monologue about the shooter and political reactions to Kirk’s death drew fire. Nexstar Media Group, which owns many ABC affiliates, piled on — saying it “strongly objects” to Kimmel’s remarks and will pull the show in its markets in favor of alternate programming.
President Trump publicly cheered ABC’s move on Truth Social, taunting Kimmel about ratings and talent.
