According to the Science and Technology Desk of Saed News, after much anticipation, Bugatti has finally revealed the successor to the Chiron, named the Tourbillon. The “Tourbillon” is a mechanical component used in luxury watches to enhance precision. While this car bears a strong resemblance to the Chiron, the Tourbillon is an entirely new vehicle, featuring a new monocoque, a new suspension system, and a new hybrid V16 powertrain.

As previously disclosed, the heart of Bugatti’s new hypercar is an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine capable of revving up to 9,000 rpm, producing 1,000 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Developed with the help of Cosworth, this engine is significantly larger than the Chiron’s W16 yet weighs only 250 kilograms.

Additionally, the Tourbillon incorporates a hybrid system, consisting of two electric motors on the front axle and a third motor at the rear, powered by a 25 kWh battery. This system contributes 800 horsepower, bringing the total output to an astonishing 1,800 horsepower. Thanks to this immense power and the specially designed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the Tourbillon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds.

Although the Tourbillon has been unveiled, production will not begin until 2026, as the car is still undergoing testing. Only 250 units will be manufactured, with a starting price of €3.6 million, equivalent to $3.9 million.
