Saed News: Here you see one of the beautiful paintings by the artistic Qajar king. Apparently, His Majesty knew nothing about ruling the country but was talented in art and music.
According to the History Service of Saed News, Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, besides his interest in photography—occasionally taking pictures of women in his harem—also practiced painting since his time as crown prince. He wrote brief notes in the margins of some of his photos and paintings.
Among Naser al-Din Shah’s paintings is one from the year 1263 (Islamic calendar), in which he painted a foreign woman.
The painting depicts a European lady in a luxurious room, beside a tea table with a samovar, holding a cup of tea, wearing a hat and an elegant dress.
