SAEDNEWS: Former Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi rebuked Saeed Jalili’s harsh comments against renewed negotiations, urging him to avoid dividing society and respect the collective decision-making process. Jalili had likened today's advocates of diplomacy to the calf-worshippers of post-Pharaoh Israel.
According to the political desk of Saeed News, former Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi, has openly criticized remarks made by Saeed Jalili regarding negotiations.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Azari Jahromi wrote:
“To the brother who believes that the people became calf-worshippers after overcoming Pharaoh, I say: if you possess Mosaic miracles, strike your staff upon the ground. But if not, then in these sensitive times, follow the example of Aaron and do not sow discord among the people.”
He continued:
“Major decisions such as negotiations are made through a chain of command, in which you yourself are a link. Express your opposition within that framework—it would be more beneficial.”
It is worth noting that Jalili had previously written:
“God sent a prophet to the Israelites to rescue them from Pharaoh’s tyranny. But after their victory, when the prophet was gone for forty days on Mount Sinai, they turned to calf-worship. Likewise, today, some people—after the enemy attacked us during talks and the Iranian nation emerged victorious—are once again calling for negotiations!”
