Saed News: The Axios website wrote on Tuesday that U.S. President Donald Trump and all senior members of his foreign policy team gathered on Sunday at Camp David, where they spent hours discussing the United States' strategy regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the Gaza war.
According to Saed News, quoting IRNA, a senior U.S. official said that Trump views the two issues [Iran’s nuclear program and the Gaza war] as interconnected and part of a broader regional reality that he seeks to shape.
American officials stated that the Camp David gathering included multiple policy meetings.
Participants at the Camp David meeting included J.D. Vance, Trump’s Vice President; Marco Rubio, Secretary of State; Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of Defense; Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff; Steve Witkoff, Trump’s Special Envoy; John Ratcliffe, CIA Director; Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence; and other senior officials.
On Monday, Trump said that "generals and admirals" attended the meetings, but he declined to provide details about the discussions.
According to Axios, Iranian officials have finalized their response to the U.S. nuclear proposal.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the sixth round of talks between Iran and the U.S. will be held on Sunday in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Quoting a U.S. official and an Israeli official, the American website claimed that there has been progress in recent days in efforts to soften Hamas’s stance regarding the U.S. proposal on Gaza.
The American official stated: “We don’t expect significant progress this week, but there has been movement, and we are closer to a deal than we thought we’d be.”
