Saednews: A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly has warned about the widespread presence of Afghan immigrants in our country, stating that the presence of Afghans is currently the greatest threat to our country.

A Warning From a Representative: Some Afghans, Members of ISIS and the Taliban, Are entering Iran With Specific Objectives.

According to Saadnews, Sara Fallahi stated that "the presence of these individuals threatens both our social and cultural identity as well as our security," and added, "Some of the individuals entering the country are members of ISIS and the Taliban who have ideological issues with us."

The representative of Ilam in the 12th Parliament continued: "These people are in contact with intelligence agencies, and we cannot simply view this issue as a civil matter and expect them to be integrated into society. Among those fleeing their country due to poverty and violence, there are some with specific agendas to create insecurity. I have previously stated that this is a very serious threat, and urgent action must be taken."

Fallahi emphasized that "these migrants are prone to committing criminal acts," and stated: "We don't know who we are dealing with! Millions of people without identification or passports. This has no precedent anywhere in the world—nowhere are people just left to roam freely like this. The issue is so serious that the government, parliament, and all institutions must take action. I emphasize that, in my opinion, this is the greatest threat facing our country today."

When asked whether the government had presented a bill on this matter to parliament, she replied: "There was a bill previously, and parliament also had a proposal. Now they have merged them together. By addressing their shortcomings, action can be taken. The Minister of Interior is well aware of the importance of the issue."

According to Fallahi, the bill includes measures for organizing the migrants, returning them, and preventing new arrivals.

She concluded by saying: "I believe their numbers have grown significantly, but wherever we prevent harm, it’s a benefit. We just need to take urgent action."
