Iran Nuclear Case: Snapback Extension Could Boost Internal Consensus and U.S. Diplomacy

According to Saeed News, international affairs expert Rahman Ghahremanpour tweeted that the extension of the snapback mechanism appears to be gaining serious traction.

He noted that Europe is also a stakeholder in this potential extension. By continuing this mechanism, the European troika would maintain its influence in the Iranian nuclear case, while Iran would gain additional time to build domestic consensus.

Ghahremanpour further stated that former U.S. President Donald Trump would also have more opportunity to advance coercive diplomacy through this process.
