SAEDNEWS: Former Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani claims a US-mediated Syria-Israel security agreement will be signed shortly, warning it threatens regional security and the axis of anti-Israeli resistance.
According to Saed News quoting ISNA, Nasser Kanaani, former spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, wrote on the social media platform X:
“Based on reports from some news sources citing officials in the Damascus government, a security agreement between the Syrian Interim Government and Israel will be signed one day after Abu Muhammad al-Julani’s speech at the United Nations in New York on September 25, with U.S. mediation.”
He added: “In recent months, it has become clear that those who drew their swords alongside terrorists against the government of Bashar al-Assad have effectively stood with the U.S. and Israel to surrender one of the pillars of the anti-Israeli resistance axis to Israeli agents.”
Kanaani further stated that the United States and Israel, by occupying parts of Syria and unveiling the fictitious ‘Greater Israel’ project, have rewarded their partners in the effort to overthrow the Syrian national government. This demonstrates once again that they place no value on the security, sovereignty, or territorial integrity of countries in the region.
He emphasized: “The United States recognizes no real ally other than Israel. Israel is a clear threat to humanity, international peace and security, primarily for West Asia and the Islamic world. The national interests and security of Islamic and Arab countries require strong support for anti-Israeli resistance movements as a defensive shield.”
