SAEDNEWS: The Israeli regime has reportedly asked the United States to help it realize its so-called plan to bring about “relocation” of the Gaza Strip’s population to other countries.

Report: Israel Seeking US Help To Realize Gaza ‘Relocation’ Scheme

Reporting on Friday, American website Axios cited two of its sources as saying that David Barnea, head of the regime’s Mossad spy agency, had traveled to Washington this week towards the purpose.

Barnear, the website wrote, discussed the scheme with Steve Witkoff, the US’s regional envoy, saying Tel Aviv expected Washington to help it realize the plot by “convincing” various countries to take up “hundreds of thousands” of Gazans.

The spy chief told Witkoff that the regime “has been speaking in particular with Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Libya.”

The regime occupied Gaza during a wholesale Western-backed war in 1967, but withdrew from the territory in 2005 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas won the coastal sliver’s rule following a landslide legislative victory.

Ever since, however, Tel Aviv has brought the territory under a crippling siege, and subjected it to several similarly Western-supported wars, each of which have led to the deaths of thousands of Palestinians.

The regime’s last war on Gaza began in October 2023 and has continued to date, with Tel Aviv openly avowing an alleged scheme to bring about mass exodus of the territory’s entire population.

In February, US President Donald Trump also fueled considerable controversy by saying Washington sought to “own” Gaza.

Washington has already been providing the war with unprecedented billions-strong military support as well as sustained political and intelligence backing.

The genocide has additionally been purportedly seeking to “eliminate” Hamas.

The group, however, has put up stiff resistance in defense of the territory, facing the Israeli military with deadly ambushes in parts, which the regime had previously alleged had cleared out.

Various Israeli officials and even those from the regime’s own allies have, meanwhile, underlined the unfeasible nature of the “elimination” scheme, citing Hamas’ decades-long history of successful resistance in the face of US-backed Israeli aggression.

They also cite the group’s strong roots within Gaza’s entire two-million-plus population that has been throwing heartfelt and sustained support behind it since the movement’s inception in 1987.
