Iran's Ambassador to Tokyo: The U.S. Military Aggression Against Iran Deserves Global Condemnation

According to Saednews, Peyman Saadati, in an interview with Kyodo News, stated that the U.S. action was in violation of international law.

He also referred to the remarks made by the U.S. President, who compared Washington's aggression against Iran's nuclear sites to the atomic bombings of Japan, calling the comments a grave insult to both Tehran and Tokyo. He urged the Japanese government to raise a strong and clear voice in condemning these attacks.

Saadati described Trump’s comments about the atomic bombings of two Japanese cities in the final days of World War II as “shameless” and “irresponsible,” adding that the statements clearly reflect a disregard for human pain and suffering.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tokyo also responded to Trump’s message on the social media platform Truth Social, in which he wrote, “Maybe now Iran can achieve peace and harmony in the region,” by stressing: “Peace under coercion is not peace.”

According to Saednews, on June 12 (23 Khordad), the Zionist regime, in a blatant violation of international law and the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, launched a military attack on areas in Tehran and other cities, including the country’s nuclear facilities. In this terrorist act, a number of scientists, military personnel, and civilians were martyred.

Following this aggression, in the early hours of Sunday (June 22 / 1 Tir), the United States also directly attacked Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, effectively joining the Zionist regime’s war against Iran.

In response to these actions, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, invoking Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves all options to defend its national interests and the security of its people.
