Saednews: In response to recent remarks by the Israeli Finance Minister, who called for Arab and European countries to help finance the war against Iran, the UAE described the proposal as “audacious.”
According to Saednews, Anwar Gargash, political advisor to the UAE president, sharply criticized recent remarks by Bezalel Smotrich, the Israeli finance minister, on the social media platform X on Monday.
Earlier, Smotrich had stated—on Israel’s Channel 14—that: “The Gulf countries, which earn trillions of dollars, should, along with Germany, the UK, and France, at least participate financially in the costs of the war against Iran.”
In response, Gargash wrote: “The audacity of the Israeli finance minister has reached the point where he is calling for Gulf countries (as well as Germany, France, and Britain) to help fund Israel’s war against Iran.”
He added: “Such a proposal is nothing but a moral bankruptcy by an extremist who does not understand the consequences of escalating tensions.”
