SaedNews: The Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced that today, Foreign Minister "Badr Abdelatty" held phone conversations with "Steve Witkoff," President Trump's representative on Middle East affairs, and "Seyed Abbas Araghchi," Iran's Foreign Minister, regarding the cessation of the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Iran.
According to SaedNews, quoting ISNA, “Tamim Khalaf,” spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that in line with the Egyptian President’s directive to intensify efforts and contacts aimed at halting the war between the Zionist regime and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Egypt’s Foreign Minister held two phone calls today (Tuesday) — one with the U.S. President’s envoy for Middle East affairs and the other with Iran’s Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that during the two calls, Abdelatty emphasized the need to work toward de-escalating tensions in the region and to utilize diplomatic and political solutions to manage the critical situation and avoid the risk of further igniting the Middle East.
He also stressed the necessity of working toward an immediate ceasefire and returning to dialogue as the only path to achieving a sustainable agreement on Iran’s nuclear programs.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister further underscored that there is no military solution to regional crises and highlighted the importance of preventing the expansion of conflict and the descent of the region into widespread chaos and insecurity, which would harm all parties involved.
