According to the society section of the Saed News website, quoting Rokna, a 14-month-old American girl who crawls on all fours and takes every opportunity to steal food from their pet dogs, has been nicknamed "Mowgli," the main character from the famous story "The Jungle Book."

River Shell, who grew up with six German Shepherds, is compared to the character from "The Jungle Book" because of her special bond with the family dogs.

Her mother, 31-year-old Ashley Shell, says that before her daughter was born, she was worried about how their pet dogs would react to the newborn. However, her concerns quickly faded as the dogs soon became great friends with River, accepting her as a new member of the family.

At 14 months old, River enjoys playing with the family dogs—Mika, Kai, Riker, Kuba, Berna, and Roma—so much that she now behaves like them.

Ashley says that her daughter not only crawls on all fours but also steals their food. She recently posted a video on TikTok showing the development of River's relationship with their family dogs. The video starts with a picture of River as a newborn surrounded by the dogs and ends with recent footage of her playing with them.

Ashley wrote in the video description: "My daughter has grown up with dogs, and sometimes I think she believes she's a dog too."

In the video, River appears very comfortable while playing with toys in the dogs' home, and even secretly takes a bite of their food, which Ashley tries to remove from her mouth.

Since its release, the video on TikTok has received over 9 million views and more than 2 million likes.

Ashley says that when River was about 8 months old, she began observing the dogs and trying to mimic their actions. "If we forget to take the dogs' water bowl, she loves playing with their water and takes every opportunity to sneak a bite of their food."

Ashley also says: "River usually smiles when she sees the dogs, and as she tries to say their names, she hugs or kisses them."

She continues: "River is still learning to treat the dogs with kindness through petting and hugging."

Some TikTok users have said that River’s close relationship with the dogs strengthens her immune system, while others have compared her to the fictional character Mowgli, the boy of the jungle.
