According to Saednews, A quick flourless halva is a delicious and nutritious dessert made without using flour. Contrary to the common belief that flour is the main ingredient in traditional halva and must be roasted for several minutes to remove its raw taste, it is not always necessary to use flour or spend a long time preparing it.
For times when you are short on time but still want to prepare halva for iftar tables or other gatherings, this quick recipe is an easy alternative.

Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
Petit beurre biscuits | 1 pack |
Butter | 30 g |
Oil | 1/3 cup |

Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
Milk or water | 1 cup |
Sugar | 1/2 cup |
Cardamom | 2–3 pods |
Rose water | 1 tablespoon (optional) |
Saffron | as needed |

Pour 1 cup of milk or water into a saucepan.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add cardamom, rose water, and saffron.
Heat on low for 3–4 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely.
The syrup does not need to boil.
Crush the petit beurre biscuits completely into fine crumbs. You can use any suitable tool for this.
Sift the crushed biscuits to obtain a fine flour-like powder.
Lightly roast the biscuit powder in a pan over low heat for 3–4 minutes.
Add butter and stir until it melts completely and blends well with the mixture.
Add the oil and mix until smooth and uniform.
Gradually add the prepared syrup using a ladle, stirring continuously so the mixture absorbs it and thickens.
Once the halva comes together, gently move the pan in a rocking motion so it gathers in the center.
If you plan to pipe or decorate the halva, do so while it is still warm, as it becomes difficult to shape after cooling.
