SAEDNEWS: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Beri held talks with US President’s Envoy Amos Hochstein and accompanying delegation on Wednesday and stressed the need to stop Zionist regime’s war crimes against Gaza and Lebanon.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent statement, Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Beri voiced his deep concern regarding the escalating political and military activities of the Zionist regime, particularly highlighting the alarming trend of cross-border assassinations occurring both in Tehran and Beirut.
Beri specifically condemned the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, where he asserted that Israel's military forces continue to perpetrate crimes against innocent civilians, notably targeting children and women. He pointed to specific incidents, including the recent tragedy at Al-Tabeen School, which he described as one of the latest crimes committed by the occupying regime.
During his remarks, Beri reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to renewing the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon's (UNIFIL) mission in accordance with Resolution 1701, emphasizing the need for international engagement in the region.
In light of these developments, the U.S. President’s envoy, Amos Hochstein, expressed his visit to Lebanon was initiated at the request of President Joe Biden, as discussions begin to navigate a potential resolution to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Hochstein underscored the importance of halting the violence in Gaza, stating that such a cessation would have positive ramifications for Lebanon.
