SAEDNEWS: Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna says that Tehran is ready for constructive interaction with the IAEA but would respond to any uncalculated measure.
According to SAEDNEWS, Iran's Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Mohsen Naziri Asl, has stated that Iran is open to positive discussions with the agency but warns it will respond firmly to any uncalculated actions.
During a recent meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, Naziri Asl expressed that political matters should not interfere with the IAEA's technical responsibilities. He highlighted Iran's commitment to constructive cooperation, saying that the country has demonstrated its readiness through both words and actions.
"We continue to engage in constructive technical cooperation with the IAEA, following our rights and obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement," he noted.
Naziri Asl emphasized Iran's consistent commitment to fulfilling its obligations under these agreements, including extensive support for the IAEA's verification activities. He pointed out that Iran has been subject to stringent monitoring by the agency.
Despite the challenging environment, especially following provocative measures from the UK, France, and Germany—who have proposed sanctions against Iran—Naziri Asl reiterated that Iran remains dedicated to upholding the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement and will continue its constructive interaction with the IAEA.
As tensions continue, Iran’s message stresses the importance of careful and calculated international actions concerning its nuclear program.
