According to SAEDNEWS, In an exciting showdown, Iran faced off against Sri Lanka for the third place in the AVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League held in Kathmandu, Nepal this past Wednesday. The match showcased the skill and determination of the Iranian team, who emerged victorious by defeating Sri Lanka in three straight sets with scores of 25-22, 28-26, and 25-27.
This victory marked the second time Iran triumphed over Sri Lanka during the tournament, having first secured a hard-fought win on Friday. That match ended with a close score of 3-2, featuring set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 22-25, 13-25, and a nail-biting 15-11 in the final set.
The tournament has been quite a journey for the Nepal national women's volleyball team, who made headlines by advancing to the finals after defeating Iran in a previous match.
