SAEDNEWS: The drafts of the comprehensive agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation have been finalized, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani said.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent press conference on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani provided updates on an ongoing agreement between Iran and Russia, stating, "The two countries have discussed this agreement in the framework of technical and legal meetings for a relatively long time." He highlighted that the drafts of the agreement have been thoroughly reviewed and that a common political will exists to sign it, which aims to strengthen the friendly and constructive relations between the two nations.
Kan'ani noted that the drafts of the document were finalized during the last round of negotiations. "The final signing of this document has a legal process," he emphasized, indicating that further steps are in motion to formalize the agreement.
In addition to discussing the agreement, Kan'ani revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended an invitation to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to attend the forthcoming BRICS summit in Kazan. "We have received Mr. Putin's invitation from Mr. Pezeshkian for the upcoming BRICS summit," he stated.
This summit, which is anticipated to be significant in international discourse, is scheduled to take place in Kazan, Russia, from October 22nd to 24th. Kan'ani expressed optimism about the opportunity for officials from both nations to exchange views and potentially sign the comprehensive long-term agreement in the future.
