  • Wheat flour: 1 tbsp

  • Cream: 100 g

  • Garlic: 2 cloves

Instructions for Potato Papas with Mushroom Sauce

  1. Prepare the potatoes: Peel and cut the potatoes into thick sticks. Place them in a suitable bowl and add olive oil, salt, black pepper, Aleppo pepper, paprika, onion powder, and thyme. Mix well until evenly coated. Bake or air-fry the potatoes until golden and crispy.

  2. Make the mushroom sauce: Slice the mushrooms and place them in a pan to let their moisture evaporate slowly. Once the mushrooms are tender, add butter and stir, then add flour and grated garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  3. Add milk and seasoning: Pour in the milk and mix thoroughly until smooth. Add salt, black pepper, and thyme. Once the sauce thickens, remove from heat.

  4. Assemble the dish: Place the baked potatoes in an ovenproof dish and pour the mushroom sauce over them evenly. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake in a 180°C (356°F) oven for 10 minutes. Your delicious Potato Papas are now ready to serve—enjoy!

Cooking Tips for Potato Papas with Mushroom Sauce

  • Mushrooms are naturally warming and rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fiber, copper, iron, antioxidants, and more. They help prevent breast and prostate cancer and strengthen the immune system.

  • When buying mushrooms, fresh mushrooms do not have to be perfectly white or translucent. A healthy mushroom should feel slightly heavy; if it’s light or hollow, it is not fresh. The cap should have no cracks, and avoid mushrooms with brown spots on the skin, or cook them thoroughly if purchased.
