SAEDNEWs: Fear among the residents intensified after the birth of a lamb that was believed to be half human and half animal, when local elders described it as a messenger sent by Satan.
According to Saed News, citing Namnak, a pregnant sheep owned by a farmer gave birth to a strange and frightening lamb—described by some villagers as being half human and half animal. Local residents reportedly believed that the unusual birth was caused by evil spirits.

The bizarre images shared from the area show a lamb that, at birth, alarmed local residents. Nearly all villagers and farmers in the region believed that the strange birth was the result of supernatural or demonic influences.
The lamb was reportedly born in “Lady Frere,” located near the eastern borders of South Africa. The circulation of the images and the shock among locals prompted authorities to send veterinary experts to investigate the case.

Dr. “Lababu,” the regional Director-General of Veterinary Services, stated that the unusual lamb was born dead. He added that its appearance led local people to assume it was half human and half animal, but confirming such a claim would require thorough scientific investigation.
Experts suggested that the mother sheep may have been infected early in pregnancy with a condition such as Rift Valley fever, leading to a viral infection affecting fetal development.
They also noted that sheep have 28 pairs of chromosomes, while humans have 23 pairs. Therefore, if such a birth were the result of a human-sheep genetic combination, the offspring would not be viable. The fact that the lamb was stillborn further supports the likelihood of a severe infection or developmental disorder rather than any hybridization.
Dr. “Armobi” added that the timing of the pregnancy suggests the fetus developed during a period of viral outbreak exposure, strengthening the theory of viral infection as the cause of the abnormalities.
