SAEDNEWS: “Actor’s Villa” presents an architectural design that seeks to blur the boundaries between structure, form, and living space, offering a different experience of residing in a contemporary villa.
According to the Saed News decoration service, the main idea in the design of the “Actor’s Villa” was to thicken the structure and thereby make it more spatial and habitable, to the point where the boundary between form and structure is partly eliminated.
For this purpose, instead of using conventional columns in a beam-and-column system, four conical forms were introduced. In addition to their load-bearing function, these forms also accommodate part of the project’s program.
With this approach, the structure actively participates in shaping the form and organizing the spatial layout. These four main structural elements, depending on their formal capacities, contain smaller spaces such as the kitchen and, at higher levels, larger units such as a private living room, distributing them across different levels of the project.
In this way, the villa’s activities take place within and among spaces that also play a role in the project’s structural system.
