SAEDNEWS:A local woman was tidying her house when she unexpectedly stumbled upon a valuable treasure hidden inside.
According to a report by Saed News, citing Young Journalists Club, an English woman never imagined that a stone she found in her home was actually a valuable diamond.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said she was cleaning her house in Northumberland when she came across the gemstone. The stone turned out to be a 34-carat diamond, estimated to be worth €2 million.
At first, she had intended to throw the stone away. However, she was shocked when she learned its true value. According to local media reports, she had purchased the stone several years earlier at a car boot sale along with several other items.
Mark Lane, an auctioneer at Featonby’s Auctioneers in North Shields, shared news of the diamond on the company’s Instagram page, noting its significant value. He said, “The stone was added to our auction list in June. Our client is a lovely elderly lady who wishes to remain anonymous throughout the process.”
