SAEDNEWS: Russia’s Grand Mufti reaffirmed the solidarity of Russian Muslims with Iran and praised President Masoud Pezeshkian’s address to the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Saednews, Russia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin made the remarks during a meeting with Seyed Abbas Salehi, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, who is visiting Russia.
Gaynutdin said that the speeches delivered by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the positions expressed by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi at the United Nations reflect Iran’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage.
The Grand Mufti added that the culture and discourse demonstrated by the Iranian president in his speeches and interviews could provide a lesson for politicians around the world.
He also said that Muslims and the broader Russian population support what he described as Iran’s heroic approach and respect the courage and resilience of the Iranian people.
