SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Top Diplomat and Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Discuss Southern Lebanon Crisis
According to Saednews, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri discussed regional developments and emphasized the need for stronger coordination among regional countries in response to Israeli policies and military actions.
During a phone conversation on Monday night, the two officials discussed the importance of regional cooperation in confronting what they described as the Israeli regime’s expansionism and military escalation against Lebanon and other countries in the region.
Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s longstanding support for Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Israeli violations. He also stressed Iran’s support for Lebanon’s resistance against occupation and aggression.
Berri, meanwhile, thanked Iran for its support for Lebanon and briefed Araghchi on the latest situation in southern Lebanon.
Addressing Israeli actions in Lebanon, Berri said the international community and Islamic countries have a legal and moral responsibility to prevent violations of international law and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
