SAEDNEWS: During a meeting with South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi Amiri, emphasized the significant potential for strengthening tourism ties between the two countries.

According to Saednews, Salehi Amiri said South Africa could serve as a gateway for Iran to access the African tourism market.

During his visit to India for the third meeting of BRICS tourism ministers, Salehi Amiri met with South African Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille on Friday, August 21, on the sidelines of the summit. The two officials discussed ways to strengthen tourism relations and explore opportunities for cooperation between Iran and South Africa.

Referring to the positive attitudes of the Iranian government and people toward South Africa and its citizens, Salehi Amiri stressed the importance of moving beyond political relations and developing practical and economic cooperation in the tourism sector.
