Qatar Optimistic US-Iran Agreement Could Be Reached Soon

According to Saednews, Qatar has expressed strong support for Oman’s ongoing mediation efforts and remains optimistic that a diplomatic agreement could be reached within the next few hours or days.

A Qatari official stated that while no direct negotiations are currently taking place, mediators are actively communicating with all sides. Draft agreements continue to be exchanged, following the same diplomatic process that has been in place since the conflict began in February.

The official emphasized that the immediate priority is to prevent further escalation, ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and create conditions for renewed diplomatic dialogue between the parties involved. He stressed that avoiding a wider regional conflict remains a key objective.

Qatar is also working closely with regional partners and all parties to the conflict in an effort to achieve a peaceful and diplomatic resolution.

Additionally, Qatar maintains that decisions regarding the Strait of Hormuz should be made by the countries of the region through dialogue and cooperation.
