SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian denied rumors of his resignation, saying he will remain in office and rejecting claims of differences between his administration and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
According to Saednews, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has dismissed speculation that he plans to step down, saying he remains committed to his role and has no intention of resigning.
In a televised interview marking the second anniversary of his administration, excerpts of which were released before the full broadcast, Pezeshkian emphasized that his government works in close coordination with Iran's Armed Forces.
"We are completely coordinated with the military forces," the president said, underscoring the government's cooperation with the country's defense institutions.
Responding directly to recent claims about his possible resignation, Pezeshkian rejected the reports and said that if he ever chose to leave office, he would make the announcement himself.
"If I ever decide to resign, I will announce it myself. But I will not resign, and I will stand firm," he stated.
The president also addressed claims suggesting tensions between his administration and Iran's supreme leadership, saying some individuals are attempting to create a false impression of disagreement.
The comments follow several days of speculation about his political future. Earlier, Mohammad Mahdi Tabatabaei, deputy for information and communications at the Office of the President, described the resignation reports as completely false. He accused political extremists of spreading misinformation to weaken national unity and benefit Iran's adversaries.
Pezeshkian's remarks appear intended to reassure the public and reinforce the message that his administration remains united with the country's military and political leadership.
