SAEDNEWS: A senior Iranian lawmaker warned on Sunday that Iran's response to any future attack would extend beyond the Persian Gulf region. He said any new military action against Iran would prompt strikes on all enemy bases involved, as well as the locations from which the attacks originated, regardless of where they are situated.
According to Saednews, Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of Iran’s Parliament and the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said that any future military attack against Iran would receive a response extending beyond the Persian Gulf. In a statement shared on social media, he said Iran would target all military bases involved in an attack, as well as the locations from which such operations are launched.
The remarks come after weeks of escalating military tensions between Iran and the United States. During the recent exchanges, Iran launched strikes on U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf and other areas, while U.S. forces continued operations targeting locations inside Iran.
Iran has also announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping and says its military operations will continue until what it describes as U.S. military interference comes to an end.
