Iran’s Strategic Reserves Remain in Good Condition, Says Economic Official

SAEDNEWS: The chairman of the Economic Commission of Iran’s parliament has stated that there is currently no shortage of food supplies or essential goods in any part of the country. He emphasized that the domestic market remains stable and that the distribution of basic commodities is continuing without disruption.

According to SAEDNEWS, Shamsolddin Hosseini, the parliament representative for Tonekabon, Abbasabad, and Ramsar, told the Mehr news agency that the stockpiles of essential goods are in good shape, and there are no issues in supplying key items such as wheat, flour, and bread.

He added that in the days immediately following recent events, some areas experienced a natural surge in demand for certain food items and fuel, which in some cases led to queues. However, thanks to timely management and measures taken, the situation was brought under control.

Regarding the country’s fuel supply, Hosseini also confirmed that gasoline reserves are sufficient, and refineries and factories are operating at proper capacity.
