SAEDNEWS: Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that today’s negotiations between Iran and the United States in Geneva concluded with tangible progress.
According to the political desk of Saed News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Oman announced in a statement that a consultative meeting was held between Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the country’s Foreign Minister, and Steve Witkoff, Special Representative of the President of the United States of America, along with Jared Kushner.
The statement noted that the meeting took place in Geneva ahead of the new round of negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, which were held today under the mediation of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the session, participants presented a comprehensive assessment of the overall atmosphere surrounding the talks. They examined the political and technical requirements necessary for the negotiations to succeed, adopting what was described as a realistic and constructive approach. According to Oman’s Foreign Ministry, this approach was aimed at strengthening the prospects of reaching understandings aligned with the objectives of the negotiations.
The statement further added that today’s Iran–U.S. negotiations concluded with tangible progress, paving the way for the continuation of dialogue in the near future.
