New U.S. sanctions on Iran hit immediately after talks!

According to the Political Desk of Saed News, just hours after the first round of Iran-U.S. negotiations concluded on Friday, February 5, in Muscat, Donald Trump signed an order imposing tariffs on countries that engage with Iran.

Early Saturday, the White House issued a new executive order from the U.S. president, stipulating that the United States can impose additional tariffs on imported goods from countries that purchase goods or services from Iran, either directly or indirectly.

According to the White House, the U.S. will formally impose a 25% tariff on all countries trading with Iran.

A few hours earlier, the U.S. Treasury Department announced new sanctions targeting two individuals, 15 entities, and 17 ships involved in oil and petrochemical trade with Iran.

The U.S. government’s hostile move comes as Iran’s foreign minister met on Friday in Oman with Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East to discuss nuclear issues and negotiate the lifting of sanctions, reaching an agreement to continue dialogue.
