SAEDNEWS: Iranian MP Hossein-Ali Hajji Deligani criticized European countries for triggering the snapback mechanism, stating negotiations with them are meaningless and announcing plans for an urgent parliamentary bill to exit the NPT.

Hajji Deligani Announces Urgent Bill for NPT Exit Amid Snapback Activation

Hossein-Ali Hajji Deligani, Vice-Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Article 90 Commission, commented on the activation of the snapback mechanism, saying: “As expected, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom have announced the activation of the snapback mechanism.”

According to Saed News, he added: “As we previously stated, the consequences of activating the snapback mechanism, including sanctions, were always intended against us, and this is nothing new.”

The Vice-Chairman of the Article 90 Commission further criticized the Iranian diplomatic team and the Foreign Minister, stating that if certain negotiations and phone calls had not taken place, the snapback activation might not have been announced now.

Hajji Deligani also announced that an urgent bill to completely exit the NPT will be drafted in Parliament and uploaded to the parliamentary system tomorrow, to go through the legislative process during next week’s public sessions.

He emphasized that this would be the Parliament’s most basic response to the snapback move and that additional measures, which would be regrettable for the countries that triggered the snapback, will also be implemented.

The MP added: “Negotiations with these three countries are meaningless and will only encourage them. We have seen the results of previous negotiations with the Foreign Ministry and some officials issuing statements—none have ever yielded results. During negotiations with the oppressive United States, Israel launched an aggressive war against our country and bombed our peaceful nuclear facilities.”

Hajji Deligani concluded: “Our people are fully aware that negotiating with these countries is futile. Therefore, we must cut off all negotiations until they abandon their double-standard behavior.”
