SAEDNEWS: The head of the Halal Research Center of Iran’s Food and Drug Organization announced that, as human knowledge advances over time, the reasons why certain foods have been declared forbidden in Islam are being discovered and will continue to be understood.
According to Saedbnews, The head of the Halal Research Center of Iran’s Food and Drug Administration stated that the concepts of halal and haram exist in all religions, although they differ in certain details. He explained that Islam places greater emphasis on halal standards than other religions and has prohibited even foods that may be harmful to human health, encouraging people to consume food that is both halal and healthy.
He further noted that as human knowledge and scientific research continue to advance, the reasons behind the prohibition of certain foods in Islam have increasingly become understood and may become even clearer in the future.

He also emphasized that, given the global production and international distribution of food products, halal certification is essential for helping consumers identify whether food products comply with halal requirements. The halal certification mark is already recognized in many countries around the world.

The head of the Halal Research Center also highlighted Iran’s expertise in evaluating halal products, stating that the country has reached a level beyond many other countries in this field. However, he stressed that further scientific research and academic work are still needed to strengthen halal product assessment.
