SAEDNEWS: Iran Air to Launch New Tehran–Kabul–Mashhad Flight Route on October 23

Iran Air to Restart Tehran–Kabul–Mashhad–Tehran Flights

According to Saednews, Taher Abdolhay, CEO of Iran Air, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national airline, has announced that flights on the Tehran–Kabul–Mashhad–Tehran route will resume on October 23 this year.

Addressing the global rise in fuel prices, Abdolhay identified fuel costs as one of the major economic challenges facing airlines. He noted that rising expenses, including fuel, employee salaries, and airport services, have placed significant financial pressure on airline operators.

Regarding approximately $30 million in outstanding payments owed to Iran Air by foreign airlines, including Gulf Air, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Turkish Airlines, for ground handling, catering, and other services, Abdolhay said that sanctions against Iran and the freezing of bank accounts have made it impossible for the airline to collect the outstanding debts from these carriers.
