Saed News: A giant rocket belonging to aerospace company Blue Origin exploded Thursday night local time during testing at a launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States.
According to SAEDNEWS, the space technology company, founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, announced that no one was injured in the incident.
Blue Origin said in a statement: “All personnel are safe and accounted for. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
The company also confirmed that an “anomaly” had occurred, a term commonly used by space companies to describe a rocket failure or explosion.
A video from a live broadcast operated by NASASpaceFlight.com appears to show a massive explosion at the launch pad during testing.
The company’s New Glenn rocket reportedly ignited on its launch pad at approximately 9:00 p.m. before suddenly turning into a giant fireball. Following the explosion, a column of smoke and flames rose into the sky from the Florida test site.
Despite the significant damage, Jeff Bezos remains determined to revive the project.
