SAEDNEWS: A meeting to review economic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan was held in Tehran on Tuesday.
According to SAEDNEWS, Chaired by the Economic Deputy of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held with the participation of Alireza Bigdeli, head of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, and a number of senior managers from the ministry.
During the meeting, Bigdeli presented a comprehensive report on the growing economic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan, focusing on accelerating border exchanges in transit, trade transactions at the countries’ triple border points, rail border operations, and the transportation of Afghan goods through Iranian ports.
Participants also reviewed appropriate strategies to remove barriers to trade and business development, with special attention to leveraging Afghanistan’s export capacities across various sectors.
