The Rezaabad Desert is located near a village of the same name and is one of the most beautiful deserts in Iran. This desert starts from Rezaabad Village and extends close to the Khartouran Wildlife Park. The desert is 115 kilometers (1 hour and 45 minutes) from Biarmand city to the west, 225 kilometers (3 hours) from Shahrud city to the northwest, and 140 kilometers (2 hours and 10 minutes) from Sabzevar city to the northeast.

Access to the Rezaabad Desert:

To access the Rezaabad Desert by personal vehicle, it is recommended to rely on road signs as well as an electronic map or GPS. First, head to Semnan, then to Shahrud. After passing through Shahrud and the Miami police checkpoint, enter the Biarmand road, passing through Biarmand city and the villages of Qalehabad and Ahmadabad. Continue until you see the sign for Rezaabad Village.

Another route to the Rezaabad Desert is to continue after passing Shahrud, Miami, Miandasht, and Abbasabad, and proceed on the Imam Reza highway or the Shahrud-Sabzevar road. Before reaching Davarzan, take the exit towards Mazinan. After about 50 kilometers, you will arrive at Rezaabad.

Remember, for a trip to the beautiful Rezaabad Desert, you can join desert tours and have a unique and unforgettable experience with fellow travelers.

About the Rezaabad Desert:

The Rezaabad Desert, like other deserts in Iran, presents a different kind of beauty to its visitors. During the day, you can enjoy walking on the warm, soft sands and watching their golden color under the scorching sun; at night, you can experience the tranquility of the environment and the mesmerizing starry sky.

In the months of Mordad (July-August) and Azar (November-December), you may witness spectacular meteor showers, known as the "Perseid" and "Geminid" showers.

The sand dunes in the Rezaabad Desert never maintain the same shape, as they change with the wind. Walking in the desert is both pleasant and exhausting due to the softness of the ground and the shifting sands. Walking on the sand dunes of the Rezaabad Desert is a unique experience. Most of the dunes or sands in the desert are home to reptiles, although they are rarely seen near the village where tourists visit.

Best Time to Visit the Rezaabad Desert:

Desert areas generally have a hot and dry climate, and the Rezaabad Desert is no exception. Therefore, during the hot seasons, the heat is unbearable. However, during the autumn and winter seasons, the weather becomes more moderate, with warm temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures at night.

Thus, the best time to visit the Rezaabad Desert is during the spring and autumn. Summer visits are not recommended due to excessive heat, and winter visits are not ideal due to extreme cold and strong winds.

Activities in the Rezaabad Desert:

Desert activities offer just as much excitement as activities in green regions, if not more. A trip to the Rezaabad Desert will provide you with thrilling and unforgettable experiences.

Walking on the Sand Dunes: One of the most peaceful and free activities in the Rezaabad Desert is walking on the warm, soft sands. If you're unaware of any creatures in the area you're walking through, make sure to wear appropriate shoes, as there is a chance of being bitten by a scorpion or other creatures.

Walking on the shifting sands of the Rezaabad Desert is a bit challenging, as each step causes your feet and ankles to sink into the sand. If you plan to walk, try not to get too far ahead of your companions.

Camel Riding:

Camel riding in the desert is a historic activity, and even today, it is an integral part of the desert experience. The grandeur of the desert is intensified when you are riding a camel, and the only sound you hear is the bell of the caravan.

ATV Riding: Riding ATVs is one of the most thrilling activities in the desert. Most off-road camps offer these vehicles for use. ATVs are designed for rough terrain and desert conditions and are relatively easy to drive with minimal skill. Just make sure to drive within the designated area.

Driving ATVs at high speeds creates a cloud of sand in the air, so it's essential to wear glasses to protect your eyes from the sand.
